LONG STAPLE COTTON
Better Cotton, Better Sleep
You may think cotton is just a bunch of fluff. However, some cottons are extremely unique. They are differentiated by the length of their fibre (or ‘staple’) - the fine little strands that make up a raw piece of cotton.
Plants with individual fibres measuring one and a eighth inches are known as 'short staple' - it’s the most common type. Long-staple cottons have individual fibres of one and a quarter inches.
Delicors uses only long-staple cotton, the same as Egyptian cotton. It offers a more luxurious and softer touch to your bedding. It’s the best option!
Single-ply yarn
Multi-ply yarns are groups of weaker fibres twisted together to create a false strength. At Delicors, we only use single-ply yarn because it produces the finest and strongest threads. It can only be spun from long-staple cotton and results in light, soft yet extremely long-lasting sheets.
Luxurious Sateen Weaves
This weaves technique is what gives the sheets its signature silky-soft feel and luminous sheen, which perfectly complements the unique design in our range. As such, Delicors’ bedding sets are more tightly woven and heavier in weight than other brands, making it warmer and buttery soft. It’s the perfect solution for year-round comfort!
600+ Thread Count
Thread count refers to the number of threads woven into one square inch of fabric. The higher the thread count, the softer the sheet is. It’s also more likely to wear and soften well over time! At Delicors, we are keen to provide you with excellence through offering 600, 800 and 1000 thread counts.
Lyocell Silk
What is Lyocell Silk?
The Green Fabric
Lyocell fabric is an amazing eco-friendly fabric in the development of environmentally sustainable textiles. Made with wood pulp from sustainable tree farms, lyocell textiles are created through the use of nanotechnology in an award-winning closed-loop process that recovers or decomposes all solvents and emissions.
It is 100% biodegradable and has a similar feel to rayon. In addition to this, lyocell fabric is soft, breathable, lightweight and comfortable.
Cooling
Lyocell is a naturally cooling material. They consist of a hydrophilic nature that makes it incredibly absorbent and effective in wicking away moisture.
Eco-Friendly
Lyocell is manufactured through a closed-loop process, where the wood pulp gets reused and recycled in every step of the manufacturing process. Thus, it leaves almost no manufacturing waste!
Also, lyocell fabric is usually gained from wood cellulose of eucalyptus trees. Since these trees are grown on unsuitable land for cultivation, lyocell fabrics are not in touch with chemical fertilizers or pesticides.
Hypoallergenic
This fabric is also a great option for those with sensitive skin because of its hypoallergenic qualities. The moisture-wicking ability of lyocell makes for an inhospitable climate for bacteria, viruses, dust mites and other indoor allergens. Furthermore, smooth lyocell fibres have a plush feel, thereby making this fabric the perfect solution for those who are prone to skin irritation or rashes!
Soft and Smooth
Lyocell is similar to silk in feel - its softness and breathable qualities make it the optimal choice for comfort. In addition, its ability to effectively absorb fibres makes it the perfect fabric to showcase any vibrant colour.
